Openness
Openness means bringing the best of what the world has to offer on board. Through the exchange of values, the most divergent cultures can be integrated and accepted so that common fundamental values are found.
In no other type of sport is tolerance so actively practised as in sailing. The 14 crew members of the “pinta” came from seven nations: Canada, Spain, England, New Zealand, Australia, the USA and Germany.
No internationally operating company can be led these days according to an inflexible cultural framework, because no area in the world is as interdependent as the business sector. In this light, decision-making processes can only work in an atmosphere of openness and tolerance towards everyone.
